Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the pie crust. Grease and flour a 9″ pie pan.

Step 2
Preheat the oven to 425 F (218 C)
Step 3

Peal the apples, core them, cut them in half and sliced each half.

Step 4

Mix the sugar and the cinnamon in a bowl.

Step 5

Remove the pie crust dough from the fridge and let rest at room temperature for 5-10 minutes. On a lightly floured surface, roll one half of the dough into a 12″ circle that is ⅛” thick. Carefully lay the crust into the bottom of a pie pan.

Step 6

Add the breadcrumbs on the bottom crust. Add 1/3 of the mixed sugar and cinnamon.

Step 7

Mix the remaining 2/3 of the mixed sugar and cinnamon to the apples, mix carefully. Add the apples to the pie pan.

Step 8

On a lightly floured surface, roll the other one half of the dough into a 12″ circle that is ⅛” thick. Carefully lay the crust into the top of a pie pan over the apples. Make 4 to 5 cuts on the crust for the mix to be able to release vapor as the apples cook.

Step 9

Baked for 15 minutes, then lower the oven temperature to 325F (163C) and leave for 50 minutes 0r until the apple mix starts to bubble.

Step 10

Take out of the oven and let sit for a few hours before eating.
